Mandatum Life is renewing its digital services and digital content in order to improve their accessibility.

Which Mandatum Life services do the changes concern?

The changes will be made in the coming months to the content of Mandatum Life’s website and Web Service, as well as to other digital content, such as publications appearing in social media. Changes to the ML Money mobile service will be made in early 2021. The accessibility changes will affect the visual aspects of the digital services and improve their usability.

What is meant by digital accessibility?

Accessibility increases equality in our ever-digitalising society and ensures that digital services and content can be used by as many people as possible, regardless of their situation. The objective is to facilitate and support the use of online and digital services by special groups, such as the visually and hearing impaired or people with difficulties concentrating.

Under the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services, Mandatum Life is obligated to ensure the accessibility of its digital services and content in compliance with the level A and AA criteria of the international Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). The Act is based on the EU’s Web Accessibility Directive.
