Mandatum's has a strong solvency position, which enables the company to operate even in an uncertain market environment. For our shareholders, the Group’s solid solvency position, the profit generated by capital-light business and the capital released from the with-profit business enable attractive dividends. Mandatum’s solvency position is largely determined by Mandatum Life’s solvency, and Mandatum’s other companies have little significance in terms of solvency requirements.
Mandatum has set a target solvency ratio at the range of 160–180 per cent by the end of 2028. The previous target level of Mandatum Group’s solvency ratio was 170–200 per cent.
On 30 June 2025, the Group’s solvency ratio without the transitional measure in accordance with the Solvency II principles was 193 per cent (31 Dec 2024: 193).
