Press release, 2 April 2026 at 10:00 a.m. EEST

Mandatum Credit Opportunities II fund (“MAMCO II”), launched in early 2026, has successfully raised more than EUR 300 million in its first closing. The fund has already begun its investment activities.

In January, Mandatum expanded its offering with the launch of the new MAMCO II credit fund, which is tailored for institutional and professional investors and follows an opportunistic investment strategy. MAMCO II operates across both public and private credit markets in Europe and the Nordics. The fund seeks compelling risk-adjusted returns and enhanced return potential compared with traditional high-yield markets.

At its first closing, the fund raised more than EUR 300 million in commitments together with the strong seed closing.

“Successfully completing the first closing in the current market environment is a significant achievement and a clear indication of our clients’ strong confidence in our expertise in this asset class,” says Alexander Gallotti, Head of Leveraged Finance.

The fund has already made its first investments in the secondary markets, taking advantage of the recent sell-off, particularly in the software and IT service sectors. Further, one investment has also been made in the direct lending segment with the second transaction being finalised.

“MAMCO II further complements Mandatum’s broad range of credit and alternative investment solutions and is particularly well suited to uncertain market conditions. The successful fundraising demonstrates that investors value Mandatum’s long-term, cycle-aware approach to credit investing,” says Janne Sarvikivi, EVP, Asset and Wealth Management.

The closed-end fund leverages Mandatum’s extensive experience and sourcing network to identify the best relative value credit investment opportunities in any market environment. The predecessor strategy, launched in 2020, outperformed its objectives to date. Its investment period ended at the end of 2025.

Mandatum offers institutional investors access to a broad platform of credit and alternative investment solutions. Clients are served with extensive resources, strong investment expertise, and long experience in key asset classes. Mandatum’s recognised fixed income expertise spans traditional credit and private debt, delivering resilient performance across market cycles.
